  • 2013 Little River Blend

    Deep intense red colour.

    The Cabernet Sauvignon in this blend is highlighted with black cherries and berry characters poking through from underneath.

    The palate is medium weight with mouth filling fruit and bright alive acid making a very versatile food wine. Soft velvety tannins are added in by the Pinot Noir.

    The wine has a fabulous acid structure giving it a good ten year cellaring if you can keep your hands off the bottle for that long.

    A very easy drinking, lovely and clean style that can be drunk just as easily by itself or fantastic with anything from simple bangers and mash through to a Tom Yum soup.

  • Little River 2013 Forgotten Hero

    Something a bit different!

    Comprises 92% Petit Verdot and 8% Shiraz grape varieties from the red soils of the Heathcote/Colbinabbin areas.

    Intense deep red colour and red aromatic bouquet, reminiscent of violets and pelargoniums.

    A mid-weight, satiny smooth texture. The mid palate has layered hints of plum, cinnamon and chocolate, with a lingering finish.

    Enjoyable drinking now. great on its own or as an accompaniment to a variety of herb food flavours and red meat.

    The colour is intense ruby red. The nose opens up to berry, plum and white pepper. This wine has a soft fruity palate with mellow acidity and tannins. Spicy plums linger on a gentle finish. This is an excellent accompaniment to char-grilled meats and stir-fry. Perfect for drinking now.

    Medium green/gold colour.

    Spice and light vanilla with ripe peaches on the nose. On opening, a light citrus comes through.

    Lively pineapple and peach flavours with ripe melons on a mid weight, elegant palate. The French oak provides structure on the finish, leaving a long subtle flavour with butterscotch overtones.

    Garnet in colour, with fine, moussey bead. Big, elegant Heathcote Shiraz bottle fermented in the Methode Champenoise has produced a bouquet of spicy blackcurrants and a refreshing palate. This wine has well balanced acidity and tannins with raspberry and blackberry flavours lingering gently on the finish.
